Hydrophilic and hydrophobic molecules

Hydrophilic and hydrophobic molecules?
Ans; 1; Hydrophillic molecules;  Hydrophillic means water liking.
The molecules have force of attraction with water molecules are hydrophilic molecules.
When water is used as dispersion medium and there exist an attractive force between water molecule and dispersed particles . the molecules are called hydrophilic molecules.the colloid formed by hydrophilic molecules are stable.
Such colloid when precipitataed, they can be directly reformed into colloidal form and are therefore called reversible colloids.

2;     Hydrophobic molecules; Hydrophobic means water fearing or water repellent.. when water is used as dispersion medium and there is no attractive forces between water molecules and dispersed particles are called hydrophobic particles.

They form unstable colloids. If once precipitatedthey cannot be directly reconverted into the colloidal form and is therefore irreversible colloids.
